Elizabeth "Liz" Ann Doyle

Elizabeth “Liz” Ann Doyle, age 75, of West Peoria, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at her home. Liz was born on February 26, 1939 in Peoria to Howard and Cora Mae (Trotter) Lane. She married Robert P. “Pat” Doyle II on February 7, 1959 in Peoria. They were married 55 years. He survives. She is survived by her children, Rob (Denise) Doyle of Peoria, Denise “Dee” (Paul) Basler of Dunlap, and Katie (Don) Katz of Dallas, TX; her grandchildren, Danielle Basler, Sarah Basler, Elizabeth Doyle, Patrick Doyle, Eric Katz, Nick Katz, and Madelyn Katz. Also surviving are her sister, Glenda Edenburn; her brother, Gary (Doris) Lane; her sister-in-law, Bonnie Lane; her brother-in-law, Harold (Regina) Campbell; the Doyle family-in-laws and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Nancy Campbell; her brother, Howard Lane; her brother in law, Jerry Edenburn; and her sister-in-law, Sue Doyle. Liz was employed at Illinois Bell Telephone Company before leaving to raise her family. She later worked as a secretary for St. Thomas and Mark’s grade school. Her family was her pride and joy. She had a passion for sewing and always loved a good book. She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, where a Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at 11am, with Monsignor Brian Brownsey officiating. Visitation will be held from 9am to 11am on Thursday, also at the church. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in West Peoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark’s Catholic Church or Susan G. Komen. Arrangements were handled through Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria.
