Eugene H Roberts

Peoria Heights: Eugene H. Roberts, 72, of Peoria Heights, passed away at 10:36 p.m., Thursday, January 8, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center.He was born October 23, 1942 in Peoria, the son of Harold E. and Margaret Webb Roberts. He married Sharon La Feber on December 14, 1962 in Riverside, CA.

Eugene is survived by his wife of fifty-two years; his children, James Roberts of Peoria Heights, and Christine (Ronald) Owens of Pekin; three grandchildren, R.J. Owens, Joshua and Jacob Roberts; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Arndt of Washington, and Winnona (Ronald) Wright of Morton; and one brother, John (Karen) Roberts of West Peoria.He was preceded in death by his parents.

Eugene was most proud of his service as a Driver for Ace Ambulance, and retired in 1991 as a professional driver.He was of the Catholic faith.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Peoria Heights. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, evening January 13, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel, and one hour prior to the mass at the church. Father Thomas Taylor will officiate.Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
