Evelyn Ann Eades

Evelyn A Eades, 82, of Peoria passed away at 2:25 a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Peoria. Evelyn was born January 6, 1932 in Stanford, IL, the daughter of Verner and Belva Bridges Wehmeier. She married Ernie Putney, who preceded her in death. She later married Leonard Eades . He preceded her in death on December 5, 1992. She is survived by her nine children, William (Colleen) Putney of Trivoli, Becky (Ed) Rhodes of Metamora, Dara (Rick Burr) Noll of Bartonville, Debbie (Chuck) Hodgkins of Bartonville , Cindy (Bob) Behrll of Peoria, Terry (Julieta) Putney of Louisiana, Cathy (Jimmy Carrington) Shelby of Creve Coeur, Teresa (Rick) Myers of Bartonville, and James (Brenda) Putney of Ohio; twenty grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren. Evelyn was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, James Wehmeier, one sister, Dara Manker and one great-granddaughter. She worked as a waitress her whole life. She last worked at the Garden Street Coffee Shop for many years until retirement. Evelyn was called “Granny by everyone. She was the best mother and grandmother anyone could ask for. She was loved by everyone that came in contact with her. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, June 30, 2014 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. Pastor Steve Weber will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday, June 29, 2014 from 2-4:00 p.m. also at the chapel. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Jude and Unity Point Methodist Hospice.
