Francis Leroy Heskett Jr., 69, of Peoria, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. Francis was born on March 5, 1955, in Peoria IL, to Francis Leroy Heskett Sr. and Dorothy Tuefel. Francis married Christine Walton on June 12, 1976.
Francis was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Helena. Left to cherish his memory is his loving family; wife, Christine Heskett; son, Nick (Ashley); daughter, Cheryl (Paul); grandkids, Conner, Emily, Amber, Parker, Bryson, Aaron; a cat, Miss Hazel; and very close friends, Terry, Colleen, Jon, and Stefani.
Francis enjoyed NASCAR and was an avid Kyle Busch fan. He enjoyed woodworking and made one hell of a Chex Mix. He greatly enjoyed playing games with his family and always said "It's only a game!" when others lost, which was a majority of the time. He will be sincerely missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at 10am in the chapel of Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Parkview Cemetery following the service.
