He was born April 10, 1924 in Peoria to Fred W. and Ethel P. Stanley Wing, Sr. He first married Jane Fellay June 6, 1946 in Peoria. He later married Helen “Betty” Martin Sipka June 18, 1983. She survives along with his two sons: Gary (Mary) Wing of Fairbanks, AK, Jon (Jean) Wing of Tucson, AZ, two daughters: Kathi (Dave) Bauer of Tucson, AZ, Susan Shine of Tucson, AZ, and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Jane, one brother, Chuck and one sister Pearl.
Fred was a WWII Army Veteran. He was a Printer and began working in the family business “Wing Printing” in Peoria in the 1940’s. He retired from printing in 2000.
He was a member of the Typographical Union # 29.
Graveside services will be Tuesday march 20, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria with Military Honors. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
