

Jack R. Diveley, 84, of East Peoria, Illinois, passed away Thursday, December 24, 2015 at the Heartland Healthcare Center in Peoria surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 20, 1931 in Peoria, Illinois to Vilas and Maggie (Buchanan) Diveley. He married Shirley Hessling on July 5, 1952 in Peoria Heights, Illinois. She survives.
Also surviving are three children, David (Lynn) Diveley of Ft. Defiance, Virginia, Gregory (Joyce) Diveley and Charles (Traci) Diveley both of Chillicothe, Illinois; five grandchildren, Joshua (Megan) Diveley, Christopher (Justina) Diveley, Jenny (David) Lewis, Kayleigh and Rachael Diveley; one great grandson, Daniel Diveley. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Jack first worked as a Punch Press Operator at WABCO and later as a Maintenance Supervisor for 37 years at CILCO retiring in 1996. He was an Air Force Veteran serving from 1951 until 1954. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in East Peoria, Illinois.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Davison Fulton Woodland Chapel. The Rev. Mary Arnold will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Saturday at the funeral chapel. Entombment will be in the Parkview Cemetery, Chapel of Peace, in Peoria.
