He was born January 26, 1950 in Peoria to Edwin and Mary (Conway) Schleich. He married Ramona Rinehart May 20, 2005 in Peoria. She survives along with one daughter, Selena Schleich of Peoria; one son, Jesse (Tammy) Schleich of Peoria; six grandchildren: Brayden and Kayla Schleich, and Jonathan, Jacob, Kelsey, and Roxanna Stuart; two step-sons: Michael (Rhonda) Stuart of Florida, Joe (Cynthia) Stuart of Nebraska; two sisters: Pat (Bob) Rainwater of Iowa, Maureen (Tim) Kelley of California; one brother, Mike Schleich of Peoria; and nine nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Cathy Schaub.
Denny was a Vietnam War Army Veteran.
He has worked for Ameren Cilco since Oct. of 1975, and was an avid golfer.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial visitation will be Monday February 7, 2011 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria.
