James "Dick" R. Smith "Smitty"

He was born to Homer Ralph “James” and Ida Maxine (Bair) Smith in Peoria, IL. They preceded him in death.

Dick graduated from Limestone High School and then went on to be a Boilermaker for Local #60. He was a proud boilermaker and retired in 1999. Dick always enjoyed the outdoors and loved playing his guitar for his family and friends.

He is survived by three children; Mike (Debbie) Hodgkins, Karleen (Jim) Heinz, Guy Smith, many grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mae; daughter, Mel; grandson, Michael and great granddaughter September.

A visitation will be held 4:00-6:00pm on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel.

A funeral service will be held 1:00pm on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel.

Burial will follow at Parkview Cemetery.
