

Jean Wheat, age 87, of Peoria, formerly of Fairview, IL. passed away Friday Aug. 2, 2013 at 2:30 a.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born Oct. 20, 1925 in Fairview, IL to Ralph and Esther (TenEyck) Ray. She first married Marty Conlon Sep. 14, 1947 in Fairview. He passed away Feb. 11, 1994 in Canton. She later married Lyle Wheat June 9, 1999 in Fairview. He survives along with one son, Phil (Karen) Conlon of Fairview, one daughter, Peggy Conlon of Peoria, two grandchildren: Kirk (Karen) Conlon of Peoria, Kylene (Chris) Lewis of Clarksville, TN, and one great-granddaughter, Aubrey Conlon of Peoria. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Ralph Ray, Jr.
Jean graduatedfrom the Methodist School of Nursing and was a Nurse at Graham Hospital in Canton then later a Nurse for Dr. Ziedens in Fairview. Jean was a member of the Dutch Reformed Church in Fairview where she played the organ for many years. She later became a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Peoria.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A Memorial Service will be Tuesday Aug. 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Rev. Dr. Randall Saxon will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Tuesday. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the United Presbyterian Church in Peoria.
