

Jerome E (Jerry) Hahn, 75, of Peoria, Illinois, passed away on December 22, 2015, at the Unity Point/Proctor Hospital in Peoria. He was born in April 16, 1940, in Chicago Heights, Illinois, to Ervin and Rosinda (Schweer) Hahn. He married Linda J Champeau on December 17, 1965, in Denver, Colorado. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Lara Hahn and Kristin (Brian) Jockisch, both of Peoria, and four grandchildren, Abigail, Wesley, Taylor and Ellie Jockisch. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Jerry was an Associate Professor of Mathematics for 39 years at Bradley University, where he also served as Chair of the Mathematics Department for 12 years and Associate Dean of Liberal Arts and Science for 16 years. He helped facilitate the Degree Audit Reporting System (DARS) and was Chair of the General Education Committee and served on numerous other committees. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, served on various HUD boards for EP!C, and was a member of University United Methodist Church where he formerly served as their treasurer and on the Finance Committee.
The family would like to give special thanks to the ICU Unit at Unity Point/Proctor Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 28, 2015, at 2:30 p.m., with visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. at University United Methodist Church in Peoria. Rev. Kim Dancey will officiate. Burial will be in the Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the University United Methodist Church or Bradley University Scholarship Fund.
