Jesse Andrew Wilson

Jesse Andrew Wilson, age 60, passed away, and was called from earth to glory on Monday morning, February 24, 2014. Jesse Andrew Wilson was born July 28, 1953 in Peoria, IL to Woodrow and Lexanna Hines Wilson Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Aaron, Woodrow Jr., and Oscar Wilson and two sisters; Lacie E. Wilson and Lowrine Denson. He was previously married to Rosemary (Deadwyler) Thomas and Gloria (Franklin) Wilson.

He was a line repairman at Caterpillar until his retirement

He is survived by his son Jesse Andrew Wilson II. of Springfield, IL. Sisters; Moralee (Melvin) McLaurin of Chicago, IL, Pearl Wilson, Maxine Wilson-Jones, Kay Johnson, all of Peoria, IL. Uncle; Rufus Wilson of Peoria, IL and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Jesse was a founding member of the Church of Living God in Peoria IL. Growing up Jesse sang in the church choir, attended Sunday School as well as The Y.P.P.U. He was also a member of the Trustee Board. He received his education at Manual High School in Peoria, IL. Jesse also played football, and was all state in wresting and track.

Visitation will be held Saturday March 01, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until time of funeral services at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Living God, Temple 130, in Peoria. Bishop Leroy Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials may be made in Jesse’s memory to the Church of the Living God.
