Just wanted to express sincere sympathy on John's passing.  I only knew you two through 7:00 am mass at St. Thomas but knew he was a good man.  


I just stumbled upon this while browsing the web. What a loss! I worked for John at Dynamic Graphics for many, many years. I still often speak to others about what it was like to work for a man like John. Never harsh. Always wanted to guide you; not push you. Always kind when directing. He wanted YOU to grow and develop YOURSELF. I will ALWAYS look up to him with gratitude. My deepest sympathies to the Rush family. I will always remember him.

Dear Rush Family, It was with a great sense of loss when we heard of John’s passing. We wanted to let you know that you have our greatest sympathy, and our hearts are truly saddened. I knew John because of my parents, Larry & Pat, as well thru my fathers business, C&H Printing, plus thru deliveries I made to Dynamic Graphics working for my father. We know that his passing will not only leave a void in our lives, but in the hearts of all those who knew him. We have included John & you in our prayers. May God give you strength. Deepest condolences to the Rush family. I will always remember John and his happy smiling face. As I child I went into Dynamic Graphics frequently and I remember John the artist at his table and then later in his office helping my father run the business. He was a calm steady force for me and our family. He was always happy to see me and would stop whatever he was doing to give a few minutes of conversation. My father had immense respect for him and would always tell me "If you need anything and I am not available ask John and he will help you."
No matter what came up later as my father's health diminshed and we needed help more and more John was there. What a kind and loving soul!! He will be missed and remembered by many. He was quite the mentor in life to me without knowing it which I am sure is true for others as well.

Pat, so sorry for your loss.  John was such a nice man.  Missed seeing the both of you at  Panera.  I use to work the floor their.  I'm glad I got to meet him.  May He Rest In Peace.

My heart felt condolences to the family!! My grandfather was Milton Bartel and I have many fond memories of John while I grew up around Dynamic Graphics. I remember going to lunch a few times with him and Grandpa while I would visit. He was always a very kind man and very tolerant of my little kid antics of running around DG as a kid!

My condolences to the family.  I still remember my first day at Dynamic Graphics almost 39 years ago.  John made me feel welcome and was always willing to listen.

John was not only my brother in law for most of my adult life, but my friend.  He  was admired and loved by many, but mostly loved by his family.  He was a wonderful husband and father.  His family always came first.  He will be greatly missed.

My love to Patty and my nephews, Jason and Matt.  We will all have wonderful memories to share.

I express my condolences t the Rush family. I became first a legal advisor to Dynamic Graphics in the 1970's and then a friend of John...a  really good and decent man. John had an exceptional quality of keeping calm and thoughtful through many situations in the business world that were stressful.

John's own art skills seemed to center him. He had sketch pads of ten on his desk. His love for his family was always apparent.  He enjoyed sharing the paths of his sons from childhood to their maturity.

Even after John retired and we moved away, we exchanged calls and lunched together when we returned to Peoria. He remained my friend.

We send our sympathies to John's family who loved him so very much.  Our prayers are with you.  Jan & Bill Adamski

MANY wonderful memories of my cousin both as a child and an adult.  His sense of humor was remarkable!  Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time.

i met john  in 1972 when i went to work at dynamic graphics he hired me. me and john became very good friends over the years. the last time i saw him we had lunch at the lariat steakhouse in peoria last year. i will miss him very much i like a lot of people hadn't seen much of him after i left dynamic graphics in 1998 we would run in to each other once and a while over the years. its a shame we don't see the people we love until they pass away.  goodbye my good friend. patty,matthew and jason so very sorry for your loss.
