He was born October 11, 1946 in Montrose, IL to Henry and Gerturde (Habing) Stuckey. They preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were one sister, one brother, and two grandson.
Surviving are his significant other of 26 years, Bonita Getz of Peoria, three daughters, one son, one step daughter, fifteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, six sisters, three brothers, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
John owned and operated J&S towing form many years and then worked as a Laborer for Friesen Brothers Construction before retiring. John was also an avid race car driver competing at the Peoria Speedway, in Fairbury, Farmer City, Lincoln, and going twice a year to Eldora, IN to race. He also enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Peoria Old Timers Racing Club.
A visitation will be Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 2 to 4 pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Cremation will be accorded and burial of the urn will be at a later date at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
