

He was born Aug. 28, 1934 in Macomb, IL to Frank and Wilma (Martin) Harden. They preceded him in death. He married Gillian Gordon in London, England on Aug. 18, 1962. She survives.
Also surviving are 2 daughters, Catherine (Tom) Mack of Louisville, KY, Elizabeth (John) Palatine of Oswego; 6 grandchildren, Ian, Bailey and Evan Mack, and Cameron, Annalise and Nicholas Palatine; and 1 sister, Jane (Ron) Anderson of Peoria.
Jon taught for many years in Peoria District 150 before retiring. Before his teaching career, he worked in oil exploration in Bangladesh, Arabia and Libya. He also volunteered with the Red Cross.
He was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral in Peoria where he served on the Chapter and Property Committee. Memorial Services will be held at the church on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 11 a.m. Family will receive friends one hour before services at St. Paul’s. Inurnment will be in St. Paul’s Columbarium. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
