Born in Curico, Chile, on November 25, 1940, he was the son of the late Luis Jana and Amada Reyes Silva. On December 28, 1969, he married Jovita Noriega in Santiago, Chile. They came to the United States in 1977.
Jorge was a Union Director for many years and after arriving in the United States, worked multiple jobs. He enjoyed playing soccer, gardening, and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Jovita Jana; two sons, Jorge S. Jana and Axel (Marta) Noriega; five sisters; and three brothers.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of Mass at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at The Cathedral of Saint Mary. Interment will be private. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
