She was born June 19, 1938 in Princeville, Illinois to Bill and Vivian Ginther. She married Dennis J. Erickson I on November 24, 1956 in Peoria, IL. He preceded her in death on Jan 17, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Surviving are her children, Debbie and Alan Nichols of Phoenix AZ, Laurie Billerbeck of Peoria IL, Bill Erickson of Janesville MN, Dennis Erickson II of Groveland IL, Patrick and Leslie of Cedar Park TX.; her 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grand children. Also surviving are her three sisters, Kathy Houlihan, Janet Kent, and Donna and Larry Corney.
She was a graduate of Woodruff High School and worked at Caterpillar until starting her family. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, became her lifelong joy.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m, Saturday, February 5, 2011, with Rev. Stephen Barnes officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow the service at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
