She was born Sep. 27, 1940 in Peoria to Keith and Lucille (Scott) Harmon. She married Gary Close Feb. 28, 1965 in Peoria. He passed away Dec. 20, 2002 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Nancy Hunter.
Survivors include two daughters: Carissa Smith of Chillicothe, Carla (Bill) Wisner of Urbana, one step-daughter, Crystal (Art) Taylor of West Peoria, three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and one sister, Peg (Dan) Hayward of Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be Saturday Feb. 20, 2016 at 12 Noon at the River Terrace Church in Rome. Visitation will be two hours prior to the services at the church. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Chillicothe City Cemetery.
