Kenneth E. Wright

Kenneth E. Wright, 77, of Peoria, Ilinois passed away Saturday January 1, 2011 in Peoria Heights, IL. Ken was born March 3, 1933 in Robinson, IL to John and Edna Rich Wright. Ken later married Barbara Ann Vinsel on April 10, 1954 in Aiken, S.C.

Surviving are his daughters: Barbara (Carl) Malone of Washington, IL and Sandra K. Harn of Pekin, IL, seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and five sisters: Judy (Gene) Wilkins of Robinson, IL, Linda (Tim) McDaniels of Palestine, IL, Ann (Bill) Shank of Lawrenceville, IL, Pat (Keith) Lamb of Robinson, IL, and Betty Spiller of Robinson, IL. Ken was preceded in death by his wife and his daughter Cathy Wright.

Ken was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Korea War as a Military Policeman. After he returned home, Ken went to work for Caterpillar, Inc. as an inspector and material handler for 35 years retiring in 1998. Ken was also a member of U.A.W. Local 974 in East Peoria.

Visitation will be Thursday January 6, 2011 from 1:30 – 2:30 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Swan Lake Memory Gardens. Rev.
