

Larry was born in Peoria on Monday, November 30, 1937, the son of Fred and Dorothy McKaine Romane.
Larry was proceeded in death by his parents, wife Joyce (Garretts)Romane, son Allen Romane, siblings Pat (Bud)Richart, Nancy Romane, Rita (Jerry)Birmingham, John Romane and Art Romane.
Surviving by sisters-in-law: Michelle and Marge Romane. Son Frank (Sue)Romane of Florida, two daughters Karen (Joe) Walacavage of Michigan, and Joy (Dean) Reda of Nevada. Grandfather of Greg Romane, Kerriann (Blake)Passmore, Heather Williamson, Nicole Romane (Nate Bond), Kathryn (Stefan)Tietz, Hannah (Grant)Bender, Garrett, Taylor, Quinten, Tesla, and Ella. Great-great grandfather of River.
Larry adored all his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren. He was employed with Maco Printing Company since high school and just recently retired last year. He worked over 60 yrs. as a pressman. His favorite past time was watching football and visiting with friends at Gebby’s Family Restaurant.
Larry had a big personality. He enjoyed life and everyone around him. He would always have a smile and a quick-witted comment that would make you laugh. He was a history book on Peoria. He loved talking about the “good old days” His favorite subject was the old night clubs and his father's pizzeria "Romane’s Italian Villa.”
Larry’s legacy will always be his kindness, generosity, and love for his family. We will all miss Dad deeply.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 16, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Entombment will be in the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum in Parkview Cemetery.
