Layne Andrew Force, 30, of Peoria, IL passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Born on November 28, 1994, in Decatur, Illinois, Layne brought a vibrant and fearless energy into the world that remained with him throughout his life.
Layne was a man of many passions and an unmistakable presence. He found joy in the outdoors—whether camping under the stars or walking through nature’s quiet paths. His love for discovering new places and things reflected his boundless curiosity and adventurous spirit. Traveling with no set destination was one of his favorite ways to explore the world around him.
He had a deep appreciation for music and food, often combining both to create moments of connection with those around him. Layne was known for telling stories that could make anyone laugh or think deeply. His warmth and humor made time spent with friends and family especially meaningful.
Animals held a special place in Layne’s heart, as did helping others. He had a natural gift for problem-solving and offered support without hesitation. Whether through a heartfelt hug or a simple act of kindness, he made people feel seen and valued.
Layne lived life on his own terms—curious, kind, mindful, strong, fearless, giving, secure in himself yet humble. He embraced being different—a maverick with a strange but beautiful soul who left an impression wherever he went.
His legacy is one of compassion and authenticity. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire others to live freely and love deeply.
