

Les was born November 22, 1946 in Canton, Illinois, to William and Margaret Greenwell Woodcock Ristau, both now deceased. He is survived by his wife, Connie Nussbaum Woodcock, whom he married December 8, 1973 in Peoria, Illinois. Les is also survived by his children Jennessa Woodcock, of Dallas, TX, Marissa (Ben) Studebaker, of Morton, IL, and Kellen (Garri Lynn) Woodcock, of Peoria. He has two grandchildren, Aedan and Avery Studebaker.
Les retired from Caterpillar in 2006 after 39 years of service. He started out in data processing and finished as a marketing consultant to Caterpillar dealers all over the world. He was well-liked and well-respected by his peers.
A former fast pitch softball player, Les was involved in many sports organizations over the years. He coached JFL football, and baseball and basketball at Peoria Christian School and the Christian Center. For 25 years he was a football and basketball referee.
Les was kind and generous. He was a positive influence on all those with whom he came in contact, and will be greatly missed. He attended Northwoods Community Church.
Funeral services will be Friday, March 15, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Northwoods Community Church in Peoria. Pastor Cal Rychener will officiate. A visitation will be Thursday evening from 4 PM until 7 PM at the Davison Fulton Woolsey Wilton Funeral Home, and 30 minutes prior to services at the church on Friday. Burial will be in the Swan Lake Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Peoria Christian School or the Christian Center of Peoria. You may view Les’s life story at www.woolsey-wilton.com.
