Lottie Ruth Riddle

PEORIA - Lottie Ruth Riddle, age 73, of Peoria passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014, at Washington Christian Village.Lottie was born on May 11, 1941, in New Albany, Miss., to Louis Finley and Lula Bell (Phyfer) Golden. She married Lawrence Riddle Jr. on May 5, 1969, in Peoria. He preceded her in death on March 11, 2010. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jeff Riddle; two brothers, Roy Lee Finley Sr. and Curtis Finley.Lottie is survived by her son, Darryl Riddle; her daughter, Denise (Larry) Dixon; her daughter-in-law, Wendy Riddle; and her goddaughter, Judy (Walter) Porter, all of Peoria; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Louis E. Finley of New Albany, Miss.; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.Lottie was a loving wife and mother. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church in Peoria, and she enjoyed shopping and watching game shows. Lottie loved talking with people and was always giving advice.Services will be held on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church in Peoria, with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Pastor Gary J. Wilson will be officiating. Entombment will be at Parkview Mausoleum in Peoria. Family will receive friends at 1524 W. Kettelle in Peoria.
