She was born August 26, 1920 in Normal, IL to Howard Kirkpatrick and Ruby Ellen (Higgs) Schuler.
Surviving are her four daughters: Charlene (Jim) Moore of Normal, IL, Helen I. Choate of Peoria, IL, Bonny (Thomas) Parrott of East Peoria, IL, and Nancy (Mike) Gaddy of El Paso, IL, her son Ira Vern Vance of East Peoria, IL, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-six great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands; Clarence E. Vance and Frank Lamon, her daughter Carol Fleming, and grandson John Michael Stein, Jr.
Lucille loved to spend time and visit with her family and friends and play bingo at Heddington Oaks.
Services will be held at 2 pm Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Parkview Cemetery.
