

Margie M. Case, age 79, of Peoria, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at her home. She was surrounded by family and friends at the time of her passing. Margie was born on April 13, 1935 in Peoria, IL to Enoch and Nettie (Kibler) Wieland. She was a 1953 graduate of Woodruff High School. She married George C. Case in September of 1955 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on September 25, 2002. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her daughter, Cindie (Marty) Houlihan of Davenport, IA; her son, Tim (Susan Sterner) Case of Westminster, CO; and her sister, Joyce (Robert) Siever of Hinsdale, IL. Margie was a loving mother. She was a Girl Scout leader and was active in her children’s lives. She had worked for Illinois Bell Company and in the Vision and Hearing Division for the Peoria City/County Health Department for over 10 years. She enjoyed gardening and painting and was a fan of the arts, especially Cornstock and Peoria Players Theatre. Cremation rites will be accorded and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 2:30pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria with visitation beginning at 1pm.
