

Sandy was born on December 4, 1932 in Watertown, WI to Erwin and Irene (Schatz) Sandrock. She married Theodore B. Losby on August 28, 1954. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sandy’s loving family includes her husband Ted of Peoria and four sons: Steve (Lisa) of Calgary, Canada; Dan of Peoria; Tom (MaryEllen) of Bryan, OH; Bob (Susan) of St. Louis, MO; and her nine grandchildren, Mark (Sarah), Susan, Tim, David, John, Mandy (Adam), TJ, Jennifer and Todd.
After graduating from Lawrence University in Appleton, WI with a degree in English, Sandy was a member and leader of many organizations in Minneapolis, Rockford and Peoria. In Peoria she was President of Methodist Service League, President of the Board of Directors of the Lutheran Home and President of P.E.O., Chapter KX. and also a member of the Junior League, Delta Gamma Sorority and the Peoria Symphony Guild. Sandy was a longtime member and servant of Salem Lutheran Church, active in Rebecca Circle. She also spent countless hours volunteering and serving at Lutheran Hillside Village. Sandy loved the piano, performing in the community and at the Waters of Life Chapel.
Sandy was a generous person, placing God, family and friends before herself. Her grace, compassion and generosity made people feel special and loved. As a result she had countless cherished and valued friendships. Sandy dearly loved her family, especially Ted and her grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home. A memorial celebrating her faith and life will be held on Thursday, November 3, at 11:00 am at Salem Lutheran Church in Peoria, with visitation from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Internment will be Friday, November 4, at 2:30 pm at Oak Hill Cemetery in Watertown, WI.
