She was born Nov. 26, 1943 in Fort Wayne, IN to Walter and Elizabeth (Oberlander) Gerber. She married Gary Paulson on April 3, 1966 in Morton. He passed away Dec. 29, 2010 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Glenn Gerber.
Survivors include three children: Andy (Jen) Paulson of East Peoria, Julie (Bill Smith) Paulson of Peoria, Kevin (Melissa) Paulson of Peoria, four grandchildren: Baylen Paulson of Beloit, WI, Callie Paulson, Kahler Paulson, and Archie Paulson all of East Peoria.
Marge graduated from Methodist School of Nursing in June, 1965. Then in May 1991 she received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Sangamon University. She worked as a nurse for the Peoria State Hospital, Methodist Hospital, Keystone, Eureka Hospital, and the American Red Cross, where she retired from in 2007.
She volunteered and served on the Board for the Junior League of Peoria and the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary.
She was a lifetime member of Grace Presbyterian Church where she served in a number of different roles. She was a loving wife, mother, mama, and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 24, 2022 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Funeral services will be Monday, April 25, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria with additional visitation from 9 to 9:45 a.m. prior to the services on Monday at the church.
Burial will be in Morton Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Morton.
Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross or the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary.
