

Martha was born on March 14, 1935 in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Anne Wasilowski, Sr. She married Charles “Wayne” Brodkorb on July 6, 1957 in East Chicago, IN.
Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Wayne; her children, Timothy (Heather Bloom) Brodkorb of Pittsburgh, PA, Paul (Amy) Brodkorb of Dunlap, IL and Joanne (Terry) Carter of Peoria, IL; and five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Faith, Jacob, Skyler and Laurel Brodkorb. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Joseph Wasilowski, Jr.
Martha graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Bradley University and then received her Master’s degree from the University of Illinois. She was a registered nurse and was a teacher for the Methodist School of Nursing for 38 years. She also served as Associate Director and later as Acting Director for the School of Nursing before retiring. Martha enjoyed playing bridge and crossword puzzles and was an amazing cook. She was very active in her church, St. Francis Anglican Church in Dunlap.
Services will be held on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at 10:30am at St. Francis Anglican Church in Dunlap. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 from 4pm to 7pm at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
