She was born Aug. 20, 1922 in Peoria to Richard and Emma (Ott) Eichenberger. She married Virgil Pruitt on Dec. 24, 1942 in Muskogee, OK. He passed away Feb. 9, 2009 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Fred and John Eichenberger, and one sister, Elsie James.
Survivors include two daughters: Ginny Mills of Scottsdale, AZ, Mary Jane (Tom) Hannah of Davenport, IA, and one grandson, Ryan Mills of Scottsdale.
Mary was the Coordinator for the Volunteers at Proctor Hospital for over 20 years retiring in 1983.
She was a former member of the 12 Oaks Apostolic Christian Church in Peoria.
Funeral services will be Monday Feb. 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Swan Lake Memorial Gardens in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
