Michael Franklin Sr.

He was born on May 28, 1950 in Asheville, North Carolina and was raised in Shelton Laurel, North Carolina. He then moved to Illinois where he resided in Sandwich as well as Sheridan before relocating to Peoria.

He was last employed by Peoria public school district 150. His favorite past time was fishing. He had many skills and seemed to be able to fix just about anything thrown his way.

Remaining to cherish Michael’s memories are his dearly beloved fiancé and cherished caretaker Annette (Young) Franklin; the mother of his children, Donna, (Dean) (Bruggemann Franklin) Ireland. Those children having been named Patricia (Franklin Freeman) Strope, Jeannie (Franklin) Kirby, Joseph (Rochelle McGrane) Franklin as well as Casandra (Huskisson Franklin) Tish. Stepchildren; Dontarius Young, Donniesha Young, Destiny Young, Demetrious Young, Don Jr Young, Donnie Young, Dontavius Young, Tobias Young and Tavarius Young.

Brothers; Jessie, (Pam)Bishop, Charles Bishop, Roy Bishop, Sister; Crystal (Bishop) Hensley. Along with numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Preceding Michael in death are his son; Michael Franklin Jr., sister; Darlene (Bishop) Dean, grandchildren; Brittany June Stearns and Christopher Kirby; parents; Zona (Franklin) Bishop and Roland Bishop.

Michael’s wishes were to be cremated and his final resting place to be in North Carolina at his family’s cemetery amongst his many loved ones.

His loving memory will be forever lasting.
