Mony was a lovely lady and a dear friend to my mom and dad. After my mom had a brain hemorrhage at the age of 68, Mony was one of her truest friends until she died 12 years later. 
Whenever my husband, kids, and I came to Peoria to visit, we went out to the Country Club with Mony and Charlie, and after Charlie passed, just with Mony.
I'll always remember her cute accent and warmth.

We are so sad to hear of Mony's passing!  Charlie was my first big boss at Caterpillar and he and Mony became great friends, advisors and sources of inspiration.  Mony was always the grande dame, elegant and distinguished.  Love this photo of her, smiling after a much appreciated giant bowl of ice cream.  We will miss you Mony. Here you are with your lover Uncle Charly and your parents, reunited forever.
How much have you loved life, it has been so rich. 
Rich in encounters, elegance, love, laughter…
And for me full of sharing, of complicity but also of beautiful memories, like our getaway together to Florida, your sharing of the history and culture of the Indians of the United States, I loved it, or even Chicago, our secrets, and many others that I won't share because it all belongs to us! There is so much to say...
Thank you for being my Godmother, a loving, unique and extraordinary Godmother like everyone would dream of having, I am very lucky!
I miss you madly of course but I am sure that one day or another we will meet again and we will make the stars dance together.

i was sad to hear of Mony passing away. But it gives me a wonderful feeling to know that  she and Charlie are together again.  I first met Charlie at Caterpillar (I was in the Human Resource Department).  We became friends as a result of that  relationship.   I was happy to assist them in completing their advanced funeral plans as well as  purchasing Crypts at Resurrection Mausoleum.  It gave them great satisfaction knowing they had assurance their plans would be handled in the way they had personally selected. As we were personally getting older, unfortunately, my wife and I decided in 2016 to move to Indiana to be near our children.  The legacy of Charlie and Mony Verbeke will he everlasting in my memory. Two very special people.  Thanks for the memories.

My deepest condolences to Moniques family and friends. I will miss my Monique more than words. She was a precious human being . Always looked forward to spending time with her. She would thank me for anything I did for her. I’m so blessed our paths crossed and she will never be forgotten. RIP my friend  ❤️🙏🏻🥲

Je suis effondrée de ton départ, notre amour de sœurs était immense depuis ma naissance , et tu m’as toujours aimée et protégée, tu m’as toujours dit : je suis ta seconde maman et je serai toujours là pour toi, tu me l’as prouvé toute ma vie.
Notre amour est resté intact malgré les nombreux kilomètres qui nous séparaient tout comme notre connivence. Nous avons un lien indestructible et indéfini. . Vole vole ma chérie, tu es redevenue libre . Je t’aime pour toujours.

Nanou et moi avions une relation pleine d’amour avec toi.
Tu nous as inspirées dans notre vie, quelle magie! 
Nous étions loin de toi par la distance mais toujours dans nos cœurs.
Nous tenons aussi à remercier les personnes qui ont pris soin de toi durant les dernières années et jusqu’au bout, Helen, Pam et avant elles Sally et Molly sans oublier David et Sonia.
Nous restons convaincues qu’où tu sois tu continueras à veiller sur nous. Vole, vole plus haut… On t’💕
