Myra M. Buckles

   She was born Sept. 5, 1925 in Oaktown, IN to Fred and Nora (Lovell) Fox.  She married Laddie G. Buckles in Oaktown, IN on March 12, 1944.  He preceded her in death on June 19, 1986.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Noretta Hodges; 3 sisters; and son-in-law, Richard Burke.

   Surviving are 3 children, Marsha (Larry) Gensler of Brimfield, Lyndell (Jane) Buckles of St. Charles, MO, Sharon Burke of Peoria; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Margaret Sonner of OH.

   Along with being a homemaker, Myra volunteered with Methodist Hospice for 5 years.  She enjoyed gardening, was very gifted at china painting and was known for her parties, especially New Years Eve.  She was a member of the Mossville United Methodist Church.

   Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria with Rev. Paul Arnold officiating.  Visitation will be one hour before services on Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
