Nicholas J. Zosky

Born September 20, 1954 in Peoria to Louis and Beverly (Bourazak) Zosky; he married Sarah Smith and she preceded him in death on December 1, 2017 in Peoria.

Also preceding him in death were his parents and a nephew, Billy Smith.

Surviving are his children, Nicholas L. Zosky of Peoria and Katy (Andy) Apostolou of Kathleen, Georgia; step-son, Jed (Paige) Dodson of Elmwood, IL; grandsons, Hayden and Mason; sister, Wendy (Bill) Smith of Freeport, IL; niece, Kristin V. Burdess of Peoria; nephew, Matthew (Paula) Smith of Bloomington, IL; 4 great nephews and one great niece.

Nick was a partner with his father in the family business, C & G Meats in Peoria. He later formed Zosky Construction and Zosky Home Inspections which he owned and operated. Then for several years after retirement, he drove a snowplow for IDOT.

He was a member of the ITOO Society, St. Jude Rides and Rebuild (formerly Christmas in April). Nick will be remembered for his big heart and was always available to help his friends. He was very committed to supporting St. Jude, enjoyed time spent at Giant Goose Ranch and scuba diving all over the world. As a die-hard fan, Nick loved the St. Louis Cardinals.

A Celebration of Nick’s Life will be held 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria.

Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or the Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
