

He was born at the home of his parents Henry "Hank" and Orilla (May) LaFollette on January 25, 1925.
He graduated from Elmwood High School with a letter in track.
He married Dorothy E. Robinson on January 15, 1972 at Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria. She survives with their children, Michael (Alberta) LaFollette of Elmwood, IL;Janice (Paul) Putrich of Farmington. IL;and Linda (Michael) Phillips of Maquon, IL; ten grandchildren,Eric (Kathy) Donath of Canton, IL;Dawn (Matt) Shipman of Pekin, IL; Josh (Brandy) Putrich of Farmington, IL;Aimee (Mike) Julian of Downs, IL; Jancy LaFollette of Des Moines, IA; Tara LaFolletteMt. Morris, IL; Stephanie (Larry) Satterwhite of Mapleton, IL; Ralph Phillips of Peoria, IL; Karrissa (Pete) Bontz of Hanna City, IL; and Stefanie Moke of Fairview, IL. Also surviving are ten great-grandchildren, Cory, Jenna, Rylie, Lucy, Reece, James, Jacob, Kaitlyn, Cassidy and Chase, two great-great-grandchildren, Owen and Olivia and one nephew Tom Hafele.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
Jack was employed at Caterpillar Inc. for 39 1/2 years before retiring. He also farmed and raised Black Angus Cattle.
He loved Deer and Mushroom hunting and served as Director &Tax Assessor in Rosefield Township. He was a 62 year member of the Peoria County Farm Bureau, a lifetime member of Hanna City Sportsman's Club and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Brimfield, IL.
Visitation will be on Monday, September 17, 2012 from 5 to 7 pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Brimfield, with Pastor Michael Liese Officiating.
