Peggy Sue Trotter, 79, of Peoria, passed away on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Lutheran Hillside Village. Born in Pekin, on October 3, 1946, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary Lucille Sunn. On July 18, 1970, she married Wilfred Gary Trotter. He preceded her in death on September 24, 2019.
Surviving Peggy is her son, Trent (Marijane) Trotter; and three grandchildren, Theodore, Lucille, and Monroe.
Peggy was employed as a physical education teacher and taught throughout District 150, including Rolling Acres School and lastly, Woodruff High School. She enjoyed line dancing and participated in dance groups, doing Zumba at the YMCA, and traveling - especially to Florida.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
