Robert E. "Bob" Linn

He was born on February 28, 1934 in Fulton County to Alvin V. and Stella (Mellert) Linn. He married Joan Fouts on August 31, 1956 in Canton, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and one granddaughter, Lindsey Evans.

Surviving is his wife, Joan Linn of Peoria, two daughters, Bettina (John) VerHalen of Eden Prairie, MN and Krista Linn of Chicago and one grandson, Justin Evans also of Eden Prairie, MN.

Bob served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. After his discharge from the Army Bob worked for White Farm Equipment for 30 years and then worked as a Driver for Peoria Charter Coach for 20 years, retiring in 2004. Bob enjoyed driving for Peoria Charter Coach and Camping with friends. He was member of the Mohammed Temple Shrine, VFW Post in Fort Meyers, FL, the Elk’s Lodge and Moose Lodge in Peoria, the Holiday Rambler’s Club and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Peoria.

A visitation will on Thursday, July 8, 2010 from 5 to 7 pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. A Funeral will be on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Chapel, the Rev. Eric Swanson will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
