Robert was born on June 23, 1941 in Peoria, IL. The son of Charles & Henrietta Behrends Nixon. .
He is survived by his children, Michael (Lori) of Taunton, MA, and Lisa Nixon of Connecticut; two grandchildren Ryan and Kyle.
Robert was also preceded in death by his father and one brother Melvin.
He was a member of the Elk's Club and worked at Caterpillar Tractor Company until his retirement in 2003.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
