Sally Jo Grimm

She was born on August 16, 1937 in Peoria to Melvin F. and Lucile (Shelton) Knickerbocker.

She married Leslie “Junior” C. Grimm Jr. on September 10, 1955 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Peoria. He preceded her in death on December 8, 2020 in Peoria.

Also preceding her in death are her parents.

Sally is survived by her two sons, Leslie “Chris” (LeaAnn) Grimm III of Peoria and Daniel Grimm of East Peoria; one daughter, Laura (Christopher) Parrish of Belleville, IL; two granddaughters, Ashleigh (Cole) Hicke of East Peoria and Kaitlin Schenck of Swansea, IL; three grandsons, Jason Rashid, Matt Grimm and Nick Grimm all of Peoria; and one great-grandson, Brigham Hicke.

Sally retired after 25 years of service at Caterpillar. She was an avid book reader and enjoyed spending her time on the Bowling League, Book Club, Bridge Club and Women’s Golf League.

Cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors or the American Diabetes Association.
