Shirley M. Moran Ridgely

Shirley Moran Ridgely, 88, of Peoria, died at 4:50 P.M. on Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Rosewood Care Center in Peoria. Born Aug. 4, 1921 in Peoria to William and Josephine Dailey Moran, she married William D. Ridgely on Sept. 21, 1944 in Presque Isle, Maine. He preceded her in death along with a brother and a sister. Surviving are two daughters Diane Daniliuk and Sally Ridgely both of Peoria; one son Bill (Shelly) Ridgely of Chicago; two Grandchildren Jody (Jeff) Thieman and Jay Daniliuk; two Great Granddaughters; and four nephews.

Shirley graduated from Bradley University where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She was a member of the Country Club of Peoria and the Creve Coeur Club. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church where a funeral mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, February 27, 2010. Msgr. Jason Gray will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in West Peoria. Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home is in care of the arrangements.
