

She was born on May 15, 1930, in Hannibal, MO, to William "Tip" and Rose Pearl (Berry) Farrell. She married Curt Hostetter on January 17, 1948. He preceded her in death.
Also preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Juanita Heimer; son-in-law, Harry Curtis; one brother-in-law, three sister-in-law's and their spouses.
Dee is survived by her daughter Chris Curtis; two grandsons, Curt (Nicole) Curtis, Corey (Rachel) Curtis; four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Cole, Luca, and Dylan; many nieces and nephews; and her close family friend, Karen Chinn.
Dee graduated from Hannibal High School in the class of 1948. She went on to work for Caterpillar Inc., mostly in food services in the Executive Dining Room, for 35 years until her retirement in 1984.
She was of Baptist faith. Dee loved traveling to Florida with her husband Curt, reading, shopping, and spending time with her family.
Burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery in West Peoria. Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
