Thomas "Tom" Hamilton Schumacher

Thomas Hamilton "Tom" Schumacher, 60, of Peoria, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at his home. He was born on October 13, 1964, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and he is the son of Allen George Schumacher and Joy Elaine (Hamilton) Schumacher.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents. He is survived by his brother, David Schumacher and his wife Leticia, of Peoria.

He graduated from Richwoods High School in 1984. He attended Illinois Central College and focused on automotive repair, woodworking and machining. He worked at Caterpillar where he enjoyed his job inspecting machine parts at the Mossville plant and at the Morton parts center.

He enjoyed listening to and playing music with friends and bands around the Peoria area. He played guitar as well as keyboards and drums. His other interests included medieval history, classic cars, and model trains.

A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, November 19, 2025 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton with a memorial service to follow. A service will be held at Tom’s final resting place at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison, IL on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Anyone who would like to attend is welcome.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First English Lutheran Church in Peoria, in memory of Allen, Elaine and Thomas Schumacher.
