He was born January 29, 1937, in Galesburg, IL to William and Eleanor (Wood) Sargent. He married Sue Ball on August 22, 1959, in Washington, IL.
Surviving are his wife, Sue of Peoria, their two children, Scott (Darla Davis) Sargent of Peoria and Stacy Sargent of Chicago; two grandchildren, Daniel (Brittney) Sargent and Elizabeth Rabe both of Peoria; four great-grandchildren, Nikolas, Savannah, Zeppelin and Amelia; and his beloved dog, Blue.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Donald and Kenneth Sargent.
Dale graduated from Eureka College in 1959 with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing. He served in the U.S. Army and worked as an International Parts Administrator for Komatsu America Corporation for over 40 years retiring in 2003. He was a die-hard Chicago Bears fan and loved spending time with his family. Dale was an accomplished singer who sang and performed with Corn Stock Theater in Peoria, as well as a member of the Morton Civic Chorus. He also served as a stage manager with Corn Stock Theater and did volunteer work at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
A visitation will be on Thursday, June 3, 2021 from 5 to 7 pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Cremation will be accorded following the service and private burial of the urn will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
