

He was born on April 26, 1946 in Edwardsville, IL to Walter and Elizabeth (McCord) Blind. He married Priscilla Daniels on November 25, 1972 in Champaign, IL. She preceded him in death on December 25, 2019 in Chillicothe, IL. He was also preceded in death by his parents; two daughters, Andrea Ledbetter and Abigayle Cokel; a brother, Roger Blind and a sister, Pat Reising.
Surviving are his three grandchildren, Elizabeth (Cody) Cox of Jacksonville, NC, Damen (Allie) Cokel of Sunnyland, and C.J. Cokel of East Peoria; two great-grandchildren, Faye and Bucky Cox; and several nieces and nephews
Bill served in the U.S. Airforce and received a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale and a Bachelors of Nursing from OSF College Nursing in Peoria. He worked as a Surgical Nurse with OSF St. Francis Medical Center for 22 years before retiring in 2004. BIll received his Brown Belt in Tae Kwon Do and enjoyed learning new languages, playing Chess and Cribbage, but most of all he loved talking with his great-grandkids.
Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and a private burial of the urn will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria at a later date. Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
