The last time I saw Bill was at his home. Everything he grew made the place look lush and homey. He most had to point out his basil plant which looked more like a hedgerow bush. His has been my standard for a healthy basil plant ever since, and I have yet to match it. 

Bill struck a perfect balance between the sacred and profane. He could say something wicked funny, and then turn and notice sublime beauty. 

He was also fearless, and I am grateful to him for something he once did when we were fishing together with Milo in Colorado. We were having an idyllic time fishing in a quiet cove when a loud jet skier came in with no consideration. The guy waved at us, and Bill gave him the finger. I wouldn't have had the guts to do that, but I'm glad he did.

I was very saddened to read of Bill's death as I have very good memories of him on the Library Board at Peoria Heights Public Library.  He was always a positive influence to me and encouraged me in my work and was a friend indeed.  I so remember celebrating his 40th birthday and it was indeed a celebration.  This is what we need to remember....  the many good times, good recipes and true friendship he gave us and may he now rest in peace.  I will always remember you Bill!! May God grant peace to your family and friends.  "He is our peace.' Eph 2:14

Bill was a HUGE asset to myself and my business (Shear Pzazz) his ever presence (18yr.) at my Salon will never be forgotten! I will miss him dearly!You could always count on Bill to give it to you straight! He never minced words. I must say though if I'd known his middle name was Milo, he'd of gotten a lot more razzing from me.

I met Bill through my job. He was just a great guy. Always pleasant and smiling. He always had a kind thing to say. I will miss seeing him  around, and would like to send my condolences to his family and friends. 

I had met Bill at a retreat.He was such a sweet and kind man. I also went to his shop for his amazing massages. He diffently had a talent. I will never forget his magnetic smile and humor. 

My thoughts and prayers go to his family and close friends. If there is anything that I can do for you please don't hesitate to ask me. I am available day or night.

My heart goes out to you at this time.  I went to Bill for his massage services and we became great friends.
It was always a great visit and massage each month.
He fought a great battle  and tried his best to be able to do his massages and always keep a great
sense of humor.  It has been an honor to know him.

I have fond memories of Bill, who we called Billy back then, from our experience as young thespians in a Cornstock play for children called “The Elves and The Shoemaker” ... He was one of the elves and cute as a button. I still have a photo of the cast with Billy and Wick DeLong and Becky Letizia (the other two elves) front and center. Later, I crashed my Mustang on Grandview Dr one snowy night on my way to pick Billy up for something at Peoria Players. In those days before cell phones, I’m sure he and his parents wondered where I was...until I could call. I really liked Billy...and the entire Bradley family. I worked briefly with John and Betty at their real estate agency in the Heights years later and I loved them... they were so kind and gracious to me and so supportive as I embarked on a new career...and Meg was in my class at WHS. I thought of Billy again last year when I was in Peoria for a visit and someone - probably Lynn Bergstrom - told me that he owned a massage business in the Heights. I thought I might stop and say “hello”...but I never did. I wish I had. It would have been great to see him again. So, I was very sad when Lynn called me yesterday with the news that Bill had passed away. He will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him. I want to extend my heartfelt condolences to Meg and his entire family. May God grant you peace at this difficult time. Sincerely, Mary Sweeney

Bill, you were so wonderful to my sister, Maureen, for so many years and such a great support to our family when she passed. May you be celebrating with her in heaven today and always.  My sympathies to your family. Rest In Peace.

Bill - Your humor, passion for plants, cooking, the arts. What a guy! We all loved your infectious laugh.  I have such happy memories hanging out in the driveway, tasting your latest recipe, laughing and telling stories.  Who else would throw a baby shower for my dog! 😘. I was lucky to know you.
