He was born June 18, 1917 in Hanna City, IL to Henry and Mina (Letterman) Wolford. He married Jeanette Caruso in Peoria on May 6, 1944. She survives.
Also surviving are two sisters, Lucille Betts and Viola Kimzey both of Peoria; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Orville, Russel, and Harold Wolford.
Willis was a WWII Army Veteran. After his time in the service he was self employed in his trucking and excavating business for new homes for 40 years, retiring in 1979.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour before services on Wednesday at the Chapel. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
