Ngoc Quang Luong, lovingly known as Jason, was born on January 12, 1978, in Vietnam, and passed away on March 15, 2026, in Riverside, California.
Jason was a truly remarkable human being whose life, though far too short, was filled with joy, and a deep appreciation for the world around him. He lived each day to the fullest, embracing life without regrets and finding beauty in even the simplest moments.
He had a profound love for nature and adventure. Whether it was taking long road trips, exploring hiking trails, or simply enjoying the outdoors, Jason found peace and inspiration in the natural world. He cherished scenic drives, often reflecting on life while taking in the beauty around him. Gardening and feeding birds brought him quiet happiness, and he found joy in nurturing life in all its forms.
Among his many interests, Jason especially loved playing online chess, a game at which he excelled. It was one of the many ways he challenged himself.
Jason is survived by his longtime girlfriend, Amelia Davalos, and Jacob Davalos, who was like a son to him. He is also lovingly remembered by his mother, Tina Luong; father, Deip Luong; sisters, Julie and Christine; brother, Billy Luong; and his nephews, Dylan and Ryland Ton.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and a reminder to live life fully and freely.
