VASS, Albert Leonard "Ab" - (Retired from G.E. Canada after 43 years of service). At Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Sunday April 18, 2010. Ab Vass of Smith Township in his 80th year. Beloved soulmate and best friend of Mary Lou Schaefer. Father of Gord (Jodi) of Keene, Ray (Wendy) of Alberta, Len (Susan) and Ab Jr. all of Peterborough. Step- father of Neil (Cheryl Daniels) of Bailieboro, Scott (Marlene) of Bewdley, Jennifer (Carie Stere) of Lakefield and Dean Chamberlain of Peterborough. Ab will also be missed by his ten grandchildren. Loving Son-in-law of Fredda Schaefer, Brother-in-law of Karl and Una Schaefer and Jim and Elsa Schaefer. Friends will be received at BRIDGENORTH UNITED CHURCH, 825 Charles St., Bridgenorth from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Saturday April 24, 2010. A memorial service to celebrate Ab's life will be held in the church at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception in the church hall.
