I am saddened that Arnold is no longer with us. I worked with Arnold for several years at Ontario Hydro where he was respected for his sound engineering skills and judgement.

I love you Grandpa.  I see you everyday in my Dad. Thank you for him.

Was very sad to hear of Arnold's passing. He and Verna were such wonderful, kind people. I worked with Arnold at Ontario Hydro in Toronto and it was such a pleasure to work with him on a daily basis. When we moved to Peterborough it was a surprise to meet him once again while working at Trinity United Church . He and Verna were always so happy and friendly, I will always have fond memories of them both.

Arnold possessed an indomitable spirt. He was also innovative--finding ways to function though legally blind and with other complicated health problems.His wife, Verna,was lucky to marry him for he brought her both security and adventure. He was comfortable in social groups but always had a book on hand if the small talk was going nowhere. A question asked or a problem posed would evoke a detailed and factual response. He could fix almost anything and always carried a set of tools in the trunk of the car. He loved his family and friends and his love was more often expressed in deeds rather than words. I'll miss him:though memories of good times with Arnold and family will continue to make me grateful for knowing him. Gerald & Shirley Paul--Kingston ON June 12/12

Though I do notknow Arnold personally, but I presume the daughter, Lois will reflect what Arnold stands for. Lois has been an excellent colleauge at work - always there to help others; and lightens the atmosphere around her. I pray that God will grant the family the courage to bear the loss.

We send our condolences to the family of Arnold McGinn from Shirley and Al Horner and all of Arnold's friends in Telecare Peterborough.
Such a gentle man with a ready smile and with many years of varying service.

Although we didn't know Arnold that well, we have warm memories of the few times we did spend with Arnold and Verna.  They were both remarkable people and Paul, Sandy, and the girls shared their memories with us over the years.  Arnold's legacy is definitely his wonderful family.  Our sympathy goes out to the McGinn family.

I am deeply saddened to hear of Arnold's passing.  He was an inspiration to those of us who met him in his later years. He was always curious to learn new things and ready to listen and ready to help. Sometimes when I was talking about an issue in my own family he would call on one of the experiences of his many friends or relatives to share a similar anecdote.  He will be missed.

Arnold was an inspiration to several generations of Engineers, global travelers and a the epitome of "The Greatest Generation".  The world is better place because of Arnold.  May we all live up to his example.

Our dear Dad was so well cared for in his last weeks in the Palliative Care wing of PRHC.  "Blessed is the nurse, compassionate healer and supporter of body and spirit".  We are eternally grateful for the care provided in his final days.
