Beverly May Fredericks

It is with great sadness that the family of Beverly May Fredericks announce her passing on October 9, 2022 in her 79th year. After a courageous battle with cancer Bev left us peacefully at Hospice Peterborough with her family by her side.

Bev was born on September 13, 1943 in Peterborough, Ontario to the late William and Mabel Deyell.

Bev was the beloved wife and best friend of Donald Fredericks for 59 years. She was the wonderful mother to Steven (Amanda), Susan Everson (Michael) and Michael (friend Julie Thompson). Proud Nanny to Sam, Jacob (Paige), Caitlin, Olivia, Mackenzie, Andrew and Leah. Special bonus Nanny to Reilly and Rhianne Dunn.

Bev was the long time Head Cashier at Canadian Tire, after that retirement, went on to work many more years at Weight Watchers. She enjoyed meeting new people and was loved by all she met. Even in her last struggling days, she made everyone around her comfortable by making them laugh and smile with her quick wit.

Bev enjoyed travelling with Don, taking many cruises and seeing many parts of the globe. It was being with friends and family that Bev enjoyed most, hosting most holiday celebrations with her extended family and many fun times with friends. She was incredibly proud of all her grandchildren, having them for dinner every Wednesday night for years. Bev was an avid and outstanding bowler, making many close friends that have continued to be a big part of her life. She was a long-term member of St. Stephens Church. Bev was an incredible soul; she was always there for someone in need, visiting many friends and family at the hospital and long term care homes.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Hospice and Dr. Whiting for the excellent care and compassion in her final days.

Visitation will be held at the COMSTOCK-KAYE Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street on Monday October 17, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and prior to the service on Tuesday October 18, 2022 from 11:00 am – 11:45 am. A Memorial Service to be held in the chapel on Tuesday October 18th at 12:00 pm.
