Diane Marie Hibrant Erwin

Diane Marie Erwin (née Hibrant) died at the age of 61 in Peterborough, Ontario. She bravely fought cancer for several years and passed away peacefully to be with her Heavenly Father on October 15, 2022.

She was born on March 16, 1961 in Toronto. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph Hibrant and Melba Hibrant (née La Fontaine), and sister Linda Goodman (Kirk). She will be forever missed by her children Brandon (Amber), Norman (Danyelle), and Amanda, and granddaughters Cecily, Makaela, Lux, and Keira.

She cherished her summers at the family cottage on Moore Lake. Some of her greatest pleasures were watching the leaves change colour and walking through the streets in winter to look at the Christmas lights. She was a lover of nature, animals, and sports, and an avid Toronto Raptors fan. She had a gift for listening to people; complete strangers felt comfortable sharing their life stories. Her greatest love was reserved for her family, for whom she loved to host parties and get-togethers. She will be greatly missed and remembered for her generous spirit and infectious laughter.

Following Diane’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Peterborough Regional Health Centre or Breast Cancer Canada are appreciated.
