Born to the late Clarence and Patricia (née Heward) Graham on January 9, 1948 in Port Hope, Ontario. Don unexpectedly passed away at home on Friday March 6, 2026 in his 78th year.
Don leaves behind his heartbroken wife of 25 years Corinne (né e Jefferies) , son Clint, daughter Anita, step-daughters Erin Bourcier (Willie) and Ivy Whalen (Kevin).
Don was the cherished Poppa of Deanna (Brody), Mackenzie, Zachary, Cheyanne, Daniel, Owen and the ecstatic Great-Poppa of Easton.
Proud brother of Maureen Kempt-Prutchick (Gary), Linda Jones (Paul) and Randy Graham (Laurie-Ann). Don was pre-deceased by his brother Gary Graham (Val), sister Gloria Loucks and brother-in-law David Kempt.
Don will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Don's nephews Brody, Blake and Ben are proud to honour their Uncle Don as his pallbearers.
Don was a valued employee at Outboard Marine in Peterborough, ON before leaving to join the Peterborough Police Services, where he retired as a Constable after over 28 years of service.
On April 6, 2020 Don faced his most challenging battle when he was admitted to PRHC with COVID-19. Don became a notable long term COVID survivor after spending 249 days in hospital. Unfortunately this courageous, well fought battle left Don with lingering health concerns, eventually leading to his departure from this life.
As an avid longtime motorcyclist, Don spent many years riding and participating in various fundraisers, including - but not limited to - his initiatives with Five Counties Children's Centre.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the many wonderful memories Don leaves behind. He will be forever loved, deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
"May your final ride be easy Donald, and the road stretch far and wide. May each bend feel like a gentle curve, 'til the horizon meets the sky. May the brilliance of the polished chrome, and bike engine's subtle roar, soothe you on your final journey, along golden roads of lore.”
Visitation will take place at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough on March 12th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. & 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held in the Comstock-Kaye chapel the next day, March 13th at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens, Peterborough.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Five Counties Children's Centre in honour of Don's devotion to this incredible organization.
